‘Code Black’ season 2 spoilers: First scoop on Rob Lowe’s arrival, overall premiere
The second season of “Code Black” is premiering on CBS this September, and if you enjoyed the show the first time around, odds are that you have many different reasons to tune in whether it be the cast or the intense storylines that play out there one episode after another.
If you’re new to the series, you may have a very different but rather-specific reason to watch: Rob Lowe. The former “Parks and Recreation” and “The Grinder” star is going to be one of the leads for the upcoming season, and if you look at the synopsis below, you can get a little bit more information as to what to expect:
“In the season premiere, Col. Ethan Willis (new cast member Rob Lowe) joins the team as part of a program in which the Department of Defense sends doctors to hospitals to teach new techniques and technologies that they learned on the field of combat. Willis and Mike take a harrowing chopper to Malibu to help save shark bite victims; Campbell (new series regular Boris Kodjoe) has become the head of both the OR and the ER in order to save costs, causing strife between him and Leanne; and Jesse welcomes a new round of residents. Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Tyra and Nafessa Williams join the cast in recurring roles as new residents in the ER.”
This synopsis is indicative of what “Code Black” is trying to do as a whole, and that is create an experience that is as authentic to a real hospital as possible. Hopefully, we will get some other scoop on it moving forward.
