‘Outcast’ finale video: Sidney’s presence looms

Sometimes, sneak peeks can say a lot without actually saying much at all. In the case for the latest tease below from Friday night’s “Outcast” finale, we do certainly think that is the case.

This preview basically makes it very clear that Sidney is getting ever closer to Kyle, and this showdown, whether it be physical or not, should be one for the ages. After all, you have already seen what one of them looks like between Sidney and Reverend Anderson, and what the ramifications from that would be.

If you’re looking visually for a microcosm of the entire season so far, we also think that this is it: Creepy, broody, and paced very slowly. Yet, at the same time, you never feel bored by it. It may sound like an odd comparison, but this show has an “American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson” quality to it where you can assume sometimes what is going to happen next based on the trajectory of events to date (that show was easier, given that it was based on history), but you are not any less compelled to keep watching.

If there is one other thing to give you some solace about the series ending tonight, it is that season 2 production is already underway!
