‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Simon Cowell’s judges houses to be in Los Angeles

You can go ahead and consider this to be one of the least-surprising bits of news of the year: On the upcoming season of “The X Factor,” you are going to see Simon Cowell conduct his judges houses phase of the competition in Los Angeles.

This news was reported by the Radio Times, who mentions that there are rumors that former judge Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini will be there with him. The reason it’s no shock that Cowell would be in Los Angeles is because he is currently still in the process of making the current season of “America’s Got Talent,” which will be taking place for roughly the next month and a half. Rest assured that by the time we get around to the “X Factor” live shows, this current season should be just about over and Simon won’t be needed back in America until the new year. (It’s already been confirmed that he will return to the NBC reality show.)

As for locations of other judges houses, there is no word yet on Nicole Scherzinger, while Louis Walsh will be heading to Ibiza in order to conduct his. Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne and presumably Robbie Williams could also be in Los Angeles, which makes some sense given that she has a role on “The Talk” there and that is considered to be her home base.

The new “X Factor” season is beginning later this month, and with the current panel, our hope is that it will prove itself to be very entertaining and so overly dramatic.
