‘Luke Cage’ releases new poster; trailer coming Tuesday
Marvel’s next ambitious superhero project is coming — and you don’t have to wait too long at all to see more of it.
As you can see HERE via Twitter, Netflix has released the latest rather-awesome trailer for “Luke Cage” (premiering on September 30), and they hyped up at the same time that a trailer is coming tomorrow. Since they specifically said the word “trailer,” we’re pulling here for something more than a minute and a half long, and something containing some substantial footage of the Mike Colter-led comic adaptation.
We know that anticipation is high anytime that Netflix releases one of these shows, but on this case it’s another level just because of the reputation that has already been established. It’s not like Luke Cage is a character we don’t know well at this point through the TV lens; he was a huge part of “Jessica Jones.” This show is more of his own personal story as a hero, one who can clearly withstand much more than the average hero. The poster below is simple and yet great, since it highlights his indestructibility first and foremost.
“Luke Cage” is the third of the four originally-ordered Marvel series to premiere on the streaming service. Following this one we’ve got “Iron Fist,” and then after that “The Defenders” will eventually come to fruition. That may still be relatively far away now, but if there is any show that they have that has expectations through the roof, it’s clearly that one.
