‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ season 9 could start production later this year
It was earlier this year that HBO first lifted the veil on the plan to bring “Curb Your Enthusiasm” back. Larry David showed an interest in returning, and now the wheels are starting to turn on the future of the show.
As for when precisely that could air, that is still a good question. After all, we don’t even know for certain when it could film! While at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour this weekend, programming head Casey Bloys made it clear that production could start this fall, or at some point in 2017. David is “gearing up” to make more episodes of the show happen, but this seems to be more at his pace rather than the network’s.
At the moment, we imagine that nobody is going to force David into changing up the way in which he does things. It is a miracle in itself that the show is coming back on the air after such a lengthy hiatus, and we imagine that HBO is just grateful to start to move in the direction that will end with being able to tell some more stories.
Overall, 2017 has really been the year for all things David when you think about it. Being a cameo artist on this season of “Saturday Night Live” allowed him to get some much more attention from the media, and that’s without even talking about the work that he did in theater or his recent appearance on “Maya & Marty.”
