‘Supergirl’ could be key component of ‘Arrow’ – ‘The Flash’ – ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ crossover
The second season of “Supergirl” is going to be airing on The CW before long, and one of the most exciting components of that is the opportunity to combine this world and that of other DC Comics superhero shows: “Arrow,” “The Flash,” and “Legends of Tomorrow.” We’ve already seen Kara Danvers meet Barry Allen, but over the course of the next year she could meet everyone from Oliver Queen to eventually Rip Hunter and Ray Palmer … or at least so we hope.
Based on what executive producer Marc Guggenheim said at San Diego Comic-Con (per ComicBook.com), we could end up seeing a new foe inspire Kara making an appearance across several different shows:
“It’s an external threat from outside the shows that will involve Supergirl coming over to The Flash, then Arrow then Legends of Tomorrow.”
Let’s just hope over the course of these episodes we see some really fun, exciting stories, and also some surprises to go along with. We are concerned about how all of this works logically (especially since Kara could seemingly destroy anyone in Star City in the blink of an eye), but at the same time the idea of her meeting John Diggle is complete GOLD.
Ultimately, we don’t see the crossover as anything more than an event, and a way to potentially exhaust Melissa Benoist since her being across so many shows will probably prove to be difficult. Yet, maybe that’s why “Supergirl” is getting 22 episodes, a slightly smaller order than some other shows.
