‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 7 preview: ‘Girl Meets True Maya’ about ‘good influence’

Who is Maya really? There has been a significant bulk of “Girl Meets World” this season that has focused on this question as extremely important. We’ve seen her try to establish some sort of distance between her and Riley, mostly out of fear that if she does not, there is a good chance that she will lose a part of herself in the process. After all, over time she started to fear as though she was becoming a little too much like her.

In the end, though, will Maya see some positives in this transformation tonight? Judging from the brief tease the show’s writers room posted on Twitter, it’s at least possible. They make it clear that the “value of good influence” is something that will be emphasized very much here, and we have a feeling where this episode could be going.

Ultimately, think of the story in terms of this: Isn’t it a good thing sometimes to take attributes of people you around? There can be such things as changing in a good way, and we can only hope that this is something that Maya realizes when it comes to her and Riley. If she can find a balance between who she was before getting close to her and keeping her own identity, that is probably where she will be the happiest. Granted, that is also something that is much easier said than done in order to do, especially at a time in high school where you are going through so much confusion and trying to figure out what is right for you in the first place.
