‘Rizzoli & Isles’ 100th episode: Check out the first details!

Who is ready to celebrate the ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ 100th episode? It’s a huge occasion, and it is definitely an opportunity for the show to do great things. You’re basically celebrating the entire run of the show to date, and hopefully teasing what’s next.

So what do we know about this episode so far? For the time being, TNT is understandably keeping coy. The synopsis below, which comes via SpoilerTV, is what we have to go on for the time being:

“In the series’ 100th episode, Jane goes undercover in a county jail to draw out the killer of a brutal murder.”

On paper, there is a part of this that certainly feels a little bit like “Orange is the New Black,” if for no other reason than that we’re going to prison. Maybe this was the intention with the story; it’s hard to say based on such a tiny little synopsis, one that is even shorter than the standard one that the network throws out there. (For the record, most of these are pretty short.)

By the time this episode airs, we will be beyond the halfway point of the season. Thanks to that, here’s to hoping that this episode accelerates things as we get closer to the finish line. Also, let’s hope that there are some teases for the final storylines along the way. We want the show to celebrate heroism in the end, but also the great friendship that exists between the title characters.
