Watching ‘The 100’ season 4, ‘Supergirl’ season 2 just got easier via Netflix – CW agreement

For those of you who love shows on The CW but hate watching them live, you probably are going to be rather thrilled by the announcement coming out today.

We knew previously that there was a new deal struck between the network and Netflix to provide streaming content for many of their programs. However, what was a little bit more unclear until just now is precisely what this deal would entail in terms of how quickly content would disperse moving forward.

According to Entertainment Weekly, coming up full seasons of shows will be available to Netflix subscribers a mere eight days after the end of the finale. That means that “Supergirl” season 2, “The 100” season 4, and other upcoming seasons of various shows like “Arrow” or “The Originals” will be online so much faster than in the past. (Previously, many of these shows only debuted a week or two before the new season premiered.) There’s no official confirmation on when some of these past seasons will premiere on Netflix, but we can tell you that “Jane the Virgin” season 2 and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” season 1 are already there for your streaming pleasure.

This move is nothing other than a win for all parties. The CW is probably getting some good money from Netflix in return for the rights to these shows, while viewers are getting more time to catch up. The CW probably recognizes that if they can get more people hooked, maybe they’ll decide to watch a show live rather than waiting around until the end of the season.
