‘American Horror Story’ season 6 spoilers: Cheyenne Jackson will return
While at this point in past years, we’ve had a good idea of what the next season of “American Horror Story” will be, this time around FX has been a little more cagey. We don’t know if that has been due to the polarizing reaction to “Hotel” or some sort of creative mandate for secrecy, but the show is even sitting out San Diego Comic-Con this year, a venue that really suits it perfectly.
Ultimately, we’re thrilled today to just have even the tiniest bit of confirmation about the return of one cast member in Cheyenne Jackson. In a post on Twitter, the actor (who played Will Drake on the series during “Hotel”) happily confirmed that he will be back for some new episodes, confirming something that he told Michael Musto. To date, there has been some ambiguity on the future of many cast members, whether it be Lady Gaga, Matt bomer, and others. We have to assume that some of them will be back, but hopefully in very different roles than they have done in the past. In particular, we feel like Evan Peters really needs something great, and we’d like see Bates as even more of a lead given that she has probably been the strongest person in the past over the past three years.
New episodes of the show will start airing in October presumably, so let’s hope that the writers are churning out some good material now and the show is preparing to kick things off in a big way.
