‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ revival: Exec on Larry David’s latest batch of ideas
While there may not be confirmation at present that another season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is going to be airing on HBO anytime soon, we do at least know for sure that it is coming. For now, we hope that this is enough confirmation for many of you to be happy.
Ultimately, what is even more interesting to hear is that while the series has been gone for quite some time, its star and executive producer Larry David was still busy looking at potential ideas. In speaking on this subject to The Hollywood Reporter, fellow EP Jeff Schaffer (who will be helping to oversee specifically a big chunk of this season now that “The League” is over) had the following message to pass along:
“You go out into the world and people act horribly and you write the ideas down. And it’s always just been a question of, where are these ideas going? Larry had a ton of other opportunities to do lots of amazingly interesting things, but as we were talking about it, nothing seemed as fun as getting the band back together. And treating these ideas that are Curb ideas as a season of Curb.”
Schaffer also made it clear that, for now, the plan is to do ten more episodes, though given David this could change at any minute depending on whatever the stories are and how things work when they get to this process. We certainly expect there to be plenty more flux moving forward, and we will have some further updates every step of the way.
