‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7 spoilers: Show boss hints at new Jenna

We heard some time back that Tammin Sursok was going to be returning to “Pretty Little Liars” in the role of Jenna at some point on the upcoming seventh (and possibly final season); what we’re just starting to find out about now is that when you do see her again, she may not necessarily be the person that you remember. After all, we haven’t seen Jenna since the show jumped forward five years. That sort of time can change people, and cause them to feel much different about things as opposed to what they once did.

For some more on what precisely Jenna’s transformation could look like moving into the new season, you don’t have to look a whole lot further than what executive producer Marlene King had to say to Entertainment Weekly about the leap forward:

“We’re really going to explore that when she comes back … It’s been five years and some people may have let go of old grudges and other people don’t. I will say the girls aren’t thrilled when they see her popping up out of nowhere in a very inconvenient time. It’s never convenient to run into Jenna.”

Yet, is it possible that Jenna could be an asset to them? We’d love nothing more than for everyone to have been wrong about the character the whole time, since that would make for such an interesting reversal of fortune. Before this show is over, we hope that she has some significant role to play in everything. Otherwise, it could end up feeling somewhat like a letdown.
