‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7: See Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, cast in new poster

The seventh season of “Pretty Little Liars” is going to be premiering on Freeform come Tuesday, June 21, and based on the poster below, we’re getting the feeling more than ever that there is one thing that the show really wants to promote: Whether or not Hanna Marin could make it out of the premiere alive.

The poster below has the hashtag #SaveHanna front and center, and to a certain extent, we’re a little bit bummed out that this is the direction that the network decided to go with this. For us, it feels just so obvious that we were going to see Ashley Benson’s character emerge from this okay. Why would the show lose one of its Liars when there is still a full season left to go? Maybe you kill off one of the Liars before the series finale, but to do so right now just feels far too early and a little bit of a waste of the rest of the time that we’ve got this season.

As for the rest of the poster, the one criticism that we will offer here is that this is more or less the same promotional photo of the Liars that was released for the second half of season 6. Basically, they are the same outfits featuring Sasha Pieterse, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, and Troian Bellisario thrown into a different background. There’s nothing else in here that really stands out.
