‘Silicon Valley’ season 3, episode 6 preview: The aftermath of Richard’s big play
This past episode of “Silicon Valley” proved itself to be incredibly entertaining, and while we have basically just taken a long, circular route to getting back to Richard as Pied Piper CEO, is anyone going to complain about that given that we’re still getting some really funny moments?
The best thing that came out of this past episode was Gavin Belson really finding himself in more hot water than ever before, largely because of Big Head’s tip that he had some of his algorithm engineers figure out a way to scrub negative mentions about Nucleus from his search platform. In turn, there are now protests outside of the Hooli office in the promo below, and this leads in turn to some funny commentary from him. This show is always better when Gavin is around, and he’s been rather absent the past couple of weeks.
Elsewhere in this episode, Erlich is going to continue his own operation with Big Head, otherwise known to us as “that thing that is almost surely going to go terribly, and yet we’re really excited to watch it burn.” Is there a chance that it won’t? We suppose, mostly because of how somehow, Erlich does tend to stumble into success often. he’s not particularly good at anything other than talking people into crazy ideas, but apparently in this particular world, that is sometimes enough.
We’ll be back tomorrow night with our full take on this episode!
