‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet JoJo Fletcher suitor Nick Benvenutti a.k.a. Santa Claus
We don’t typically give away too many first-night “Bachelorette” gimmicks in these contestant spotlights, but on this particular occasion, we figure that it is fine to craft some sort of exception to the rule. We’re here today to highlight a man in Nick Benvenutti who apparently thought that it would either be fun or a good idea to show up the first night dressed as Santa Claus. We’re not entirely sure where he got this idea, but he seems to be running with it!
It’s hard to make sense of something that seems completely random / not attractive to any woman ever, so instead let’s just move on to spotlighting other parts of his personality.
Name – Nick Benvenutti
Age – 33
Occupation – Electrical engineer. Maybe he’s spent so much time working on the science behind Christmas lights that he’s always in the holiday spirit.
Location – Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Interestingly, he’s not the only contestant this season from the city, as Derek also hails from there.
Pros – He keeps the spirit of Christmas close to his heart? We’d say that he at least seems passionate about being on the show, and he may be a nice guy when you get past all of the gimmicks that he seems to be rolling with.
Cons – Santa. Also, this from his bio when asked about whose head he would want to inhabit for a day: “I would be the woman I want to marry so I could find out what’s in her head. Plus, I’m pretty sure I could only last a day being inside a woman’s head. :)” Presented without comment, mostly because it speaks for itself. Also, Santa.
Most likely to… Have reindeer?
Final assessment – The reason we’re not taking Nick’s spotlight that seriously is that we don’t see there being a substantially large chance that we’re going to be seeing him longer than a couple of weeks. Sure, we’ve seen people overcome awkward first-night gimmicks before, but there’s not really anything from Nick’s bio that makes us think that he’s socially or romantically in the right spot to have JoJo on his side this season.
