‘The Fosters’ season 4: New promo highlights terrifying premiere

“The Fosters” is set to premiere on Freeform with its fourth season on Monday, June 20, and based on the first promo for the new season below, it looks as though this could be the most terrifying season yet. We’re not even saying that because this is a show that aims to be terrifying the majority of the time. It’s just real, and therefore when scary things happen, it rocks you to your core even further.

Could the show put Mariana in grave danger at some point early on in this season? This promo suggests that Nick could perhaps have a gun and be threatening people in the wake of what he saw Mariana and Mat doing. He’s struggling emotionally and psychologically, and we hope that at some point the show takes an opportunity to shine a light on what is happening to him. The writers handle almost every issue with great sensitivity, and we have to think they will also do so here.

As for other storylines, we’re sure that they are there, but after watching this is it really even possible to think about anything else? We’re willing to wager that the answer there is probably “no.” This is much too raw, and certainly far too emotional. What we do know is that whether it be the aftermath of Callie’s actions against Justina or Jude trying to find his place after Jack’s death, all of our characters are still going to be going through quite a bit.
