‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: Show boss on Sarah Clarke, Duane Henry’s arrival

NCIS -We’ve already spoken a good deal about the departure of Michael Weatherly after the “NCIS” finale next week, so why not spend a moment or two focusing on some new pieces to the pie?

Tuesday night’s episode will debut Sarah Clarke and Duane Henry as Tess Monroe and Clayton Reeves, and the two could remain as a big part of season 14 depending on what executive producer Gary Glasberg and the team decide. They will be folded into the story based in part on what we see in the manhunt story, which is coming stateside this week and will continue into the finale.

Speaking to E! Online first about Monroe, Glasberg stated the following:

“That manhunt is responsible for also involving the FBI and MI 6, which is where our two new characters come into play. Tess Monroe, played by Sarah Clarke, is an FBI agent who’s working in conjunction with Joe Spano’s character, Fornell. She’s very involved with the case and she works with our team and she’s full of fire and cynicism and sarcasm and wit and energy and is extremely experienced and just a lot of fun and feels really organic to our group.”

As for Reeves, Glasberg added this:

“The same goes for Clayton Reeves, who is a young MI 6 agent played by Duane Henry. He is edgy and fun and fast and has a real physicality to him and honestly just lights up a room. There’s this sort of simmering, bubbling danger that’s below the surface that we’re taking full advantage of with him as well.”

While we’re incredibly sad to be saying goodbye to Tony on the show, we’re going to at least give these characters a show and see what they bring to the show. After all, there is potential for them to add a lot to the proceedings in season 14 and shake things up in an interesting way.
