‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2, episode 4 ratings level off
Just in case you were wondering when the bleeding would stop for “Fear the Walking Dead” after many weeks in a row of ratings struggles, we’re glad to now have some sort of specific answer for you.
The numbers are now in official for Sunday night’s new episode, and it posted a 2.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic. For those who are keeping track, that’s an increase from the week before! This is the first time this season that the show has improved its rating, with one of the likely reasons for the increase being that there was no longer anything holding the show back. It did not have to worry anymore about something like “Game of Thrones” premiering, or hype dying down as it did between the premiere and the second episode of the season.
So will the show stick around here for the rest of the season? That’s obviously our hope at the moment, mostly because the larger the rating the show has, the more ambitious it can be with its storytelling. Also, we’re starting to see a creative turnaround after a fairly ho-hum first season, and we want to see people get on board and see some of the interesting twists and turns the writers are throwing our way.
Obviously, there is no reason to worry about the show’s immediate future still, as AMC has already renewed it for a third season. Stay tuned, as we’ll give you everything related to previews and so much more as we get deeper into the season.
