‘The Ranch’ season 2 official; Netflix renews Ashton Kutcher – Danny Masterson comedy
Great news for those of you who were really enjoying taking a trip to “The Ranch” on Netflix; you’re going to get a chance to see so much more of it coming up!
In the video below, series star Ashton Kutcher confirms alongside co-stars Danny Masterson and Sam Elliott that in addition to there being ten more episodes of the show coming up this fall, the series has already been renewed for a second season. Presumably, that will premiere in 2017 based on what Kutcher said.
While “The Ranch” remains somewhat under-the-radar in comparison to some other series that Netflix has released as of late, it’s a comedy with some positive reviews under its belt as it works to move away from some classic sitcom conventions. It takes a little bit of the familiar, and then finds a way to mix it up with something new.
We’d say that overall, this has been a rather great day when it comes to Netflix announcements, especially given the fact that it was already announced that “Daredevil” is spinning of “The Punisher” into its own series at some point in the future. Oh, and there’s also still some episodes of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” out there for us to watch, and we like to think that this gives us a little bit of something else to look forward to.
We’ll have some other news when it comes to “The Ranch” soon; at some point, we’d like to burn through it as we have with “BoJack Horseman” and come back with a full list of impressions all about it.
For now, let us know what you think about the renewal in the comments, and head over here to get some other TV news on all we cover, sent right over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Netflix.)
