‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 21 video: Alex gets roped into Callie – Arizona custody battle

Callie and Arizona are in the middle of a fairly epic custody battle on “Grey’s Anatomy,” and unfortunately, we’re not altogether surprised that there are some other characters in the midst of all of this that could be forced to take sides.

For just one example of that, take a look at the sneak peek below! Here, you can see Callie specifically approach Alex to ask him a huge favor, one that she is having a really hard time spitting out. Eventually, Alex just guesses that Callie wants him to testify on her behalf, but the clip ends before we get any further insight.

This scene is extremely well-written just for the sheer discomfort of it all. Callie would feel terrible about asking someone about this in real life, so it only makes sense that she’d share the same sentiment asking Alex about it here.

As for whether or not he’ll say “yes,” we can’t imagine him making a decision about it right on the spot. If he says yes it’s a great thing to bolster his relationship with Callie. However, at the same exact time it hurts his relationship with Arizona, and he has to continue working with both of them. It’s also possible that Arizona asks him, and to be honest, it’s probably easier to side with Arizona on this since Callie planned to take Sophia across the country without really communicating that much with Arizona about it.
