‘The Fosters’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Faking It’ guest actor signs on for arc

Fosters -

Elliot Fletcher is a name you may not be altogether familiar with just yet, but rest assured that this is going to be changing over the course of the next several months. He is already recurring on “Faking It” as a transgender performer named Noah, and now The Hollywood Reporter claims that he is also joining “The Fosters” for a significant arc playing Aaron, a law student who Callie (Maia Mitchell) meets while at a coffee shop. It’s not entirely clear how this relationship will evolve, but it’s something that is worth watching over the course of the upcoming season.

Fletcher was first discovered thanks a lengthy casting search underwent by “Faking It” for a transgender actor, and this is obviously playing big dividends for his career already. What’s exciting for him most likely about these two roles is that they both are very different types of shows, even if they do cater to a similar demographic. With “Faking It,” he gets a chance to be silly, and play out that sort of fun part of his personality. Meanwhile, “The Fosters” is a show that tends to deal more in terms of serious moments and storylines that often expose dark, painful sides of its characters. There is a lightness that comes out at times, but there are also plenty of moments that are rather sad.

“The Fosters” will premiere on Freeform come Monday, June 20. We’ll have some other news on the subject of the show as it starts to come out.
