Is ‘Chicago Fire’ season 4, episode 19 new tonight on NBC? Looking ahead

Chicago Fire -Chicago Fire,” it certainly would’ve made sense for there to be a new episode airing after the two-hour Live Playoffs episode of “The Voice” Tuesday night. After all, this would’ve been a great time to get some big ratings for the show!

Unfortunately for fans of Casey, Severide, and the like, NBC has opted to use this slot as a launching pad for new drama “Game of Silence,” which will be shifting to Thursday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern after this premiere. (Effectively, it’s taking the place of “Shades of Blue” on the schedule.) “Chicago Fire” will return next week with new episodes, and in giving you something new to be excited about, we’ve come with some of the first information regarding the April 26 episode entitled “The Last One for Mom.” Based on the synopsis below, there are going to be a few surprises that are in store for the characters, plus a key Severide story:

“Detective Holloway (guest star Jenny Mollen) continues to entrust Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) to watch over her young son at the firehouse while she testifies in court as part of an undercover operation. When the situation takes an unexpected turn, Severide is left to deal with the aftermath. The firehouse responds to a blaze at an art gallery that has a victim trapped inside and prompts Cruz (Joe Minoso) to make a rash decision amid the chaos. Casey (Jesse Spencer) receives a suspicious package in the mail that casts suspicion on him from the Board of Ethics. Meanwhile, Brett (Kara Killmer) discovers Otis (Yuri Sardarov) isn’t taking care of his own important issues and confronts him, but finds he is stubborn and more interested in rallying the troops to organize a trip to Las Vegas for the annual firefighting conference.”

As mentioned previously, another great bit of news for this particular show is that starting on April 19, we will have at least three straight weeks of new episodes. NBC hasn’t officially confirmed the finale date, so we cannot project further than that.
