‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 21 preview: ‘The Viewing Party Combustion’
Arguments are often the name of the game on “The Big Bang Theory,” given that we’ve seen so many of them over the course of the show’s run. It’s with that in mind that we do have to wonder the following question when it comes to the upcoming April 21 installment entitled “The Viewing Party Combustion”: Is there something about this episode, which will air after a hiatus next week, that CBS is not telling us right now?
For the time being, all we know for certain are the details confirmed in the official network synopsis below:
“Everyone must choose sides when a small argument between Leonard and Sheldon erupts into a heated fight during a group get-together.”
Yep, it’s another classic argument between Leonard and Sheldon, and it makes us wonder this: What happens if the two have an argument that is so huge, it literally splinters the group in half? What if they don’t want to live together anymore, and everyone has to figure out new arrangements? Maybe we’re thinking now in terms of stories that are far too dark to really imagine for this show, but there are certain elements of it that do need a shakeup. The living arrangement is one of them, and it has to be something that sticks this time given that they’ve tried to switch it around temporarily in the past, but only for a short period of time. Given that Sheldon and Amy are contemplating a long-term future, maybe it is time for a significant change.
