‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 17 preview: What’s next for Ellen Pompeo, cast?

On Thursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” we more or less saw Meredith Grey realize that despite it being two years since Derek’s death, she is still trying to get over him and is not quite yet ready for a serious relationship. Therefore, things with Will are going to be on hold for a little while longer. Maybe it happens down the road, but for the time being Ellen Pompeo’s character is pressing pause and focusing on some other things in life. Maybe that’ll change in due time, but it hard to say for sure.

What we can tell you right now is a little bit of what to expect from “I Wear the Face,” which is the installment of the show airing on ABC next week:

“Meredith goes on an ambulance ride with Owen and Nathan to pick up a heart for a transplant patient. Musician & MS patient Kyle Diaz is admitted to Grey Sloan Memorial with a tremor in his hand, and the residents apply for the Preminger Grant. Meanwhile, Catherine continues to insert herself into Jackson and April’s business against Richard’s wishes.”

Will we see some progress made for April and Jackson? We certainly hope so. The promo below focuses more on two other things, though:

1. The continuing feud between Owen and Riggs.

2. Getting a chance to see what happens when Wilmer Valderrama arrives on the scene. He’s getting front-page treatment as a guest star in the video!
