‘Blue Bloods’ season 6 spoilers: Danny’s serial killer returns

Blue Bloods season 6If there is something that we have definitely figured out as of late when it comes to “Blue Bloods,” it is this: It’s a show that rarely likes to bring in the same element or story multiple times. It is one of the most procedural shows out there, so any time there is a long-form story being told, you have to pay attention to it. Clearly, it’s meant to be important.

That is certainly what we are talking about right now when it comes to Danny and his quest to stop a serial killer in Thomas Wilder. We’ve seen him struggle with this on a few separate occasions already, and this drama could come to a peak in the “Down the Rabbit Hole” episode that is airing on CBS come Friday, April 15. The synopsis below does a good job of setting up, at least at the moment, what sort of developments we could see in the case:

“When serial killer Thomas Wilder (Louis Cancelmi) attaches a message to his latest victim that taunts Danny, their deadly game of cat and mouse becomes personal for Danny.”

As for whether or not this could be the end of the Wilder saga, it really is a toss-up since we could envision the network finding some more ways to milk this storyline for at least one more episode even later this season, potentially even the finale. There is a lot of rich material here, and given how on-edge Danny often is thanks to criminals like Wilder, this could be the one thing that sends him further into a tailspin.
