‘Billions’ episode 11 preview: Chuck looks to close the door on Axe
Is the story for Chuck Rhoades and Bobby Axelrod on “Billions” about to come winding down to a close? We’re certainly getting closer than we have been before to seeing the latter be finally taken down for some of his crimes. However, at the same time we know that Axe has a reputation for being a shark for a reason. He’s sharp, he bites back, and despite the odds being against him, he often finds a way to swim away. He could do so once again here, despite suffering a pretty big setback as this season winds down.
The synopsis below gives you a little more information on precisely why Damian Lewis’ character is in trouble:
“Axe loses big on a bad trade; Chuck finds proof that could save the case.”
Following this episode, we will really be near the conclusion of this season, and ergo that moment where all of the metaphorical you-know-what could hit the fan. It’s an exciting time! A nerve-wrecking time for sure, especially since we still have this image in our head of this show finding a way to make this grand compromise, a punishment for Axe that feels worthy, but at the same time keeps him outside of prison in a way that would keep him from being a part of the show. The writers have a difficult balancing act here, and we certainly would not want to be them in sorting this out moving forward.
