‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: First news on ‘What Happened to Courtney?’
“Chicago Fire” is going to be returning to TV on Tuesday, March 29, and we’re lucky to now have for you some of the first details regarding what should be a fascinating, life-shifting hour of TV. “What Happened to Courtney?” is the title, and we’re not going to waste any time before giving you the full synopsis to the hour:
“While responding to a potential carbon monoxide leak inside a home, Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Cruz (Joe Minoso) uncover the remains of a child inside the chimney. Subsequent information leads Severide to believe that the discovery may be linked to a case he had worked on years ago. Meanwhile, with election day nearing, Casey (Jesse Spencer) braces for the worst in his run for Alderman, prompting Dawson (Monica Raymund) to enlist the firehouse team to lend a hand to the cause. Complicating his chances, Alderman Becks (guest star Armand Schultz) continues to bad mouth Casey to the press, but an incident in the field might prove beneficial.”
Will Firehouse 51 really be able to help Casey score a victory here? That’s one of the more interesting long-term stories here, since there is really only so much that he can do. It’s an interesting dichotomy between this and what some of the cast does on a daily basis. Typically, they have some sort of control over their situation courtesy of putting out fires and helping those in need. However, on this particular occasion Casey cannot control how other people vote in an election.
As for what happens with Severide and Cruz, it already sounds harrowing and like one of the more difficult scenes we’ve seen this season.
