‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3: Show boss details Frank’s dilemma
There are some major storylines that are going to play out throughout the upcoming third season of ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder,” but we know that one that particularly interests us at the moment is where in the world Frank goes from here after his secrets are starting to come out. Not only is the truth out there about Lila, but it’s also been revealed that he is responsible for what happened to Annalise’s baby so many years ago.
Given that Viola Davis’ character said that he “needs to go” at the end of the finale, has she done away with him in some capacity? There are certainly many unanswered questions out there still, and unfortunately for the time being, we don’t really have that much in the way of answers beyond just what creator Pete Nowalk said recently on the subject to TV Guide:
“The last time we saw Frank, he knows Annalise is coming home and he knows Bonnie is going to try to smooth things over, but I think he knows Annalise. He had a decision to make. Either he tries to do something to win her love back or he takes the money and takes off. Those are things we’ll get into next season. To me, yes, we solved the big mystery between Frank and Sam, what their secret was, but I think a lot has gone on that we have yet to see. There’s 10 years between that hospital scene and him killing Lila, so clearly a lot has happened, as well as, how did Sam and Frank first meet? These are all stories that I’m excited to show you guys when it’s right.”
We imagine that Frank will spend at least some of the season separated from the rest of the cast, but it’d be a shame if he were to be killed off early. We’re certainly terrified of the guy thanks to what he’s capable of, but at the same time, he makes for genuinely compelling TV. You don’t always get that elsewhere.
