‘Prison Break’ revival officially gets Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar, Amaury Nolasco

The upcoming revival series for Fox’s “Prison Break” continues to get more and more impressive with every passing day, based on some of the latest news that is now official.

According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, Robert Knepper (T-Bag), Rockmond Dunbar (C-Note), and Amaury Nolasco (Sucre) will all be back in some capacity when the show returns whenever it happens to premiere on the network. These three actors join an impressive cast of returnees that also includes Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, and Sarah Wayne Callies.

There are still a wide array of questions regarding the actual story of the revival, and understandably so when you consider some of the circumstances surrounding it. For example, it’s not entirely clear at the moment how Michael (Miller) would be alive given the most-recent events that we saw of the franchise, and also how you can make this particular story compelling given that later in the show’s original run the idea of the prison break in itself was starting to get a little bit stale.

One other thing that still remains a mystery, at least for the time being, is when this revival show is going to come on the air. Our guess is more than likely in early 2017, but who knows? Maybe Fox will get a little bit desperate to get some more boffo ratings, and start it up this fall so that they can air it both before and after the MLB playoffs to make even more money. “The X-Files” revival aired its six episodes in January and February, and it showed in its own way that there is money to be made there.
