‘Daredevil’ season 3: When could Marvel, Netflix renew Charlie Cox series?
In one day’s time, you are going to see Marvel and Netflix bust out the latest season of “Daredevil”; heck, those of you who are night owls could probably be a good ways through the season 24 hours from now.
We know it may be wrong to get too far ahead of ourselves, but this is precisely what we’re going to do for a moment here in this article as we start to figure out just what the long-term future of the Charlie Cox led series will be. One thing we do feel is that the odds of there being a season 3 before “The Defenders,” the team-up show featuring Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, is incredibly unlikely. That has been one of the reasons why there’s been no talk about “Jessica Jones” season 2 premiering anytime soon, and with “Iron Fist” entering production, it finishing is the only thing in the way of “The Defenders” happening.
Following that, though, we do think that there are many more possibilities for this series. Fisk is still out there somewhere, for one, and there are some other Daredevil villains who, unless there are some surprises in season 2, are supposedly not showing up. Given the popularity of the series we imagine that there will be a third season, but you will have to wait a while before it happens. Note that this is all just speculation on our part, but we’d say the earliest you could see it is 2018, if not later.
For now, enjoy season 2! We’ll hopefully have some more opportunities to talk about the show in due time.
