‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 17 video: Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, cast celebrate 250 episode

On Wednesday night’s new episode of “Criminal Minds,” you are going to have an opportunity to see a particularly terrifying case for the BAU as they try to figure out who is behind a series of child abductions. This story is entitled “The Sandman” for a reason.

There is something important happening beyond the story of this episode, as well, and it may not be something getting enough attention: This is the 250th episode of the series! We presume that in many ways this celebration has been overshadowed by the 300th episode milestone of “NCIS” earlier in the week, but they’re both worthy of a lot of praise.

In the video below, you can see the likes of Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, Matthew Gray Gubler, AJ Cook, Shemar Moore, and others discuss what it means to them to make it to this achievement, and why an enormous part of the show’s success stems from being able to have this tremendous place where they are able to come to work every day. If they did not have this, it would be a far greater challenge for them to be able to continue to love what they do.

We will have some other news in regards to this episode later in the day, but we imagine that it is one that could send a chill down the spines of many … and as a result of that, it’s probably not the sort of installment that you want to watch right before bed.
