‘Faking It’ season 3, episode 1 video: Karma and Amy talk summer changes

Tomorrow night, “Faking It” returns to MTV with its first season 3 episode, and one that will do hopefully a good job of mapping out just where Amy and Karma are in their friendship right now.

Based on the first sneak peek below for the episode, it really doesn’t seem like they are in the best place possible. Specifically, Amy claims that she has “evolved” over the course of the summer, where she got to travel the country without any of her Hester High friends around. In turn, this caused her to get over Karma. Meanwhile in the time in which she was away, Karma started to get closer to Shane, and the two have become unlikely friends.

While this may all be good news for Amy, it doesn’t really seem like Karma is altogether ready to just proclaim all of a sudden that the two are suddenly best friends again. She acknowledges that there are some pretty significant issues that still need to be worked out, with one of the biggest ones being the sole fact that Amy just up and left without really giving her much of an advance warning. If she had handled it differently, maybe she’d be in a somewhat-better place.

In the end, these two characters are high schoolers! Therefore, it’s as a result of that they are still having a little bit of trouble when it comes to empathy. Also, for Karma we do wonder whether or not she was hurt because she does have some sort of feelings for Amy, even if she is not willing to really admit them to herself just yet.
