‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 6, episode 17 reaction: On two separate game-changers

“Hawaii Five-0” is often not a show designed to really present you with the biggest of cliffhangers, but we don’t know how you can say that the CBS series did anything other than that when it comes to Friday’s episode. There were two major stories left dangling in the air, and it feels clear now that we’re not getting major answers to either one of them until the show comes back on the air April 1. (How else would they tell us? Just answered our own question.)

Here are the two bigger shocks that we had to our system over the episode.

McGarrett learns the truth about Catherine – It was somewhat frustrating admittedly to have this full episode play out without Michelle Borth actually being there in the present, but for Steve at least knowing that she’s out there has to be better than nothing … right? We at least like to think so. Steve actually wasn’t that angry, though, and he tried to relate to the situation that she was in.

Chin learns the truth about Abby – Or at least this is what was presumed based on the end of the episode. How will he react? This is really the big cliffhanger. Given that Julie Benz already has a role on the upcoming “Training Day” pilot, we should admit here right away that we’re a little bit nervous in regards to her long-term future on the show. We still hope that they can work it out, mostly because we enjoy Chin so much as a character.
