‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 13 reaction: Is Meredith ready to date again?

Thursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” contained the moment heard across the fandom … even if it ironically was a moment that was out of earshot for us to hear it.

Almost a full year removed from Patrick Dempsey’s departure from the series, and more than a year past Derek’s death for Meredith Grey, she considered actually taking advantage of a romantic overture from a doctor at the military hospital that she was at with some of the other doctors. They were there to work on a new procedure, and their mere presence sent some shockwaves through almost everyone working there. We don’t want to spend too much time discussing that, though, given that it’s ultimately not that important to the main narrative we’re discussing here.

The big discussion point is still the move for Meredith, and potentially what this means now for her future. Is she ready to date again? We’re not quite sure, but this shows that she is entertaining it and that is a welcome sign after so much pain and heartache.

As for the story the rest of this episode, we had a chance in here to see Bailey suspend Ben for some of his actions (no nepotism here!), and a group of unruly cheerleaders invaded the hospital after one of their own needed medical attention. Let’s just pretend that never happened, since we figure everyone will be happier. Also, Jackson STILL doesn’t know about April’s pregnancy. Ugh.
