‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, and the horrors of Hades

The fifth season of “Once Upon a Time” is back and underway with its latest run of episodes, and at the center of almost all of the drama at the moment is one man with a very-fiery head of hair: Hades. He’s the keeper of the Underworld, and the man responsible for ensuring that people still there. His motives are not entirely clear just yet, but it definitely does feel as though this is the most powerful opponent out of any that the show has faced so far. After all, the guy is a god!

Ultimately, time is not on the side of our heroes as they try to get Captain Hook back from wherever he is within this world. This is something that Lana Parrilla herself teased further in a new interview with TV Guide:

“The Underworld is not Hell. It’s purgatory … You’re in this limbo state. Everyone is warning them to leave because Hades wants to keep all the souls that are down there. If you don’t get out quickly you can end up trapped down there as well.”

As for who is in the most danger down there of our group, it is probably Parrilla’s Regina given how great a role she played in the death of so many people. There will be plenty of people out there who want to target her, and she has to be prepared to not trust anyone. We’re not quite sure why you would trust someone given that this is the Underworld of all places, but this is a point still worth making and she is with fairly-trusting people.
