‘American Idol 15’ spoilers: Duet choices for Trent Harmon, MacKenzie Bourg, top eight
You may have already heard that for Thursday night’s new episode of “American Idol,” the show is opting to go with what may be one of the most ridiculous themes that they ever have in the history of its run: Songs that have been performed on this show many times over. While we haven’t seen an official list of song spoilers as of this writing, we imagine that it will be full of choices that make you groan and upload the versions from past Idols that you truly love.
We don’t want to stay on our soapbox on this forever, but the biggest thing that we hate about this theme is merely that it does cause you to instantly compare these singers to a variety of other people. Even if they’re great, viewers have nostalgic attachments and it’s going to be hard to match that hype.
We’ve learned that in addition to these solo performances, there will also be some duets that happen over the course of the night via the show’s Snapchat. We cannot tell you what these people are singing and even if they are doing the same theme, but here are the latest pairings.
Trent Harmon and La’Porsha Renae – This is going to be AWESOME.
Tristan McIntosh and Lee Jean – They are the underdogs, and probably have the most to prove.
Sonika Vaid and Avalon Young – We’re also really excited about what they can do.
MacKenzie Bourg and Dalton Rapattoni – In theory, this sounds good … but at the same time these two are very different pop/rock singers. We’ll see.
