Is ‘Arrow’ season 4, episode 16 new tonight? Finale date revealed!

For those of you who enjoy “Arrow” on The CW very much, we know that the thirst for more news episodes is real. Unfortunately, you’re going to be waiting for quite a while longer still to see the show return with new episodes. March 23 is the date, and the good news that we can offer you there is that there are still a lot of episodes still to air this year.

Unfortunately, there is a little bit of bad news that we also have to pass along: There will be at least one more hiatus after this one before the season comes to a close. Our feeling for the most part has been that the show would just run episodes consecutively from the 23rd until a potential finale on May 11, but today The CW surprised us in announced that the season 4 finale of “Arrow” is actually going to be coming later than expected on May 25. This is more than a week later than any season finale for the show has aired so far in its run.

So why the later finale? There are a few different reasons for it, whether it be that the network may be trying to capitalize on other shows ending beforehand to pick up good ratings, or simply that there needed to be more time to finish things up in post-production.

There is a silver lining with almost everything in TV, though, and we assume that in this case, at least the show can celebrate the fact that this likely means that a hiatus this summer will be a little bit shorter.
