‘Ballers’ season 2 trailer: See what lies ahead for Dwayne Johnson’s Spencer Strasmore

This summer, HBO is going to be coming back with all-new episodes of “Ballers,” and if you enjoyed the first season, rest assured of this: There is a lot to look forward to!

The trailer below gives you a first look at what Spencer Strasmore is going to be up to, and let’s make it rather clear: There are going to be many more ups and downs within the crazy world of sports management. You’ve got egos, you’ve got a James Harden lookalike, and above all else, you’ve got a power struggle. In some ways, we see the sporting world as an almost non-stop battle for attention. In one way or another, everyone wants to get a big piece of the pie; the big debate comes for the most part in terms of how to get it, and everyone uses a wide array of different means for it to happen. You want the most money, the most attention, or at least even the most people wanting to be with your romantically.

Often, this leads to a mess. This is what Spencer is there for.

Dwayne Johnson gave a killer performance on the show in its first season, and to us he is definitely the show’s anchor and then some. He brings an energy that is almost paralleled, and as a whole he may be now one of the most underrated comedic actors working today. Yes, we certainly know that he can be an action hero and do all of that stuff, but to us very little surpasses what he was able to do on “Saturday Night Live.”
