‘Better Call Saul’ season 2 premiere a hit in live+3 ratings

Better Call Saul season 2When we first saw the season 2 premiere numbers for “Better Call Saul,” we were a little bit bummed out that they were not a little bit stronger. While we were not even remotely worried for the show’s long-term future, this is still a series we want to see succeed to the best of its ability. We also want to see viewers checking it out live as opposed to do just doing the easy thing and waiting around for the show to premiere on Netflix.

Now that we’ve said all of this, let’s get to sharing some of the premiere numbers live live+3 data. (For those new to the subject, “live+3” basically means three days’ worth of viewing via DVR recordings and other measures.)

According to TVbythenumbers, the “Better Call Saul” premiere rose from a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic all the way up to a 2.1, which is quite the impressive leap given that that we’re looking at an extremely short period of time. These ratings leaps are a little more widespread when it comes to the live+7 data.

Ultimately, we think that “Better Call Saul” is, one way or another, the sort of show that we are going to see around until it gets around to the end of the story. Given that AMC doesn’t have too many enormous hits right now other than the “Walking Dead” franchise, this is still one worthy of plenty of love and attention. We may not cover the show’s ratings for the entirety of the series, but we’ll see what happens if there are any big spikes or drops.
