Oscars 2016: ‘Spotlight,’ ‘The Big Short,’ Alicia Vikander among winners

We’ve never declared ourselves here at CarterMatt to be the biggest movie buffs in the land, we do want to at least provide a resource for some of the people out there who do want to watch the show live have something to discuss and look at in their own right. Best Makeup and Hairstyling – “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

Best Costume Design – “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

Best Cinematography – “The Revenant.”

Best Editing – “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

Sound Editing – “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

Sound Mixing – “Mad Max: Fury Road.” Clearly, we’re starting to see a theme here.

Visual Effects – “Ex Machina.”

Animated Short – “Their Story.”

Animated Feature Film – “Inside Out.”

Supporting Actor – Mark Rylance, “Bridge of Spies.” We don’t follow this to closely, but we knew that Sylvester Stallone was considered the unquestioned favorite here.

Documentary Short – “A Girl in the River.”

Documentary Feature – “Amy.”

Foreign Language Film – “Son of Saul.”

Best Original Score – “The Hateful Eight.”

Best Director – Alejandro G. Inarritu, “The Revenant.”

Best Actress – Brie Larson, “Room.”
