‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 12 video: Robin Lord Taylor on what lies ahead for Oswald Cobblepot

Oswald -Gotham” is finally returning on Monday night after a lengthy period of time off of the air, and based on the sneak peek below, it’s looking as though there is one thing you can definitely expect: A version of Oswald Cobblepot who is clearly unattached to almost anything.

As Robin Lord Taylor describes in the video below, times are very different for his character as opposed to what they were through the first half of the season. Now that his mother is dead, he doesn’t really have a safety net. He lost the only person he truly cares about, which seems to be why he was more than fine eradicating the world of Theo Galavan in such a brutal way. Now, he’s forced to be on the lam, and we imagine that he will be doing almost anything that he can in order to survive.

Before we get to the end of the first episode back, we imagine we’ll get a further sense of what Oswald’s circumstances are. He does always seem to find some more power, but it often takes him a few stumbles first. Some of those said stumbles could be documented in a great way through the first couple of episodes.

Just in case seeing Oswald is not enough for you in your hopes to get your villain fix, just remember this: You’re also going to have opportunities aplenty to see some other nefarious characters early on when the show returns, including the debut of Victor Fries and Hugo Strange.
