‘Bones’ season 12: Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz react to final-season renewal
Thursday was what we’d consider personally to be a good day for “Bones” fans. While there was the announcement that the upcoming 12-episode twelfth season would be the show’s last, the fact that it got this renewal in the first place should be considered a victory. The ratings for season 11 so far have not been great, but this renewal offers up a chance to have the show go out a winner, and with an ending that is fitting for the Booth and Brennan characters.
We reported yesterday on what Fox had to say about the renewal, so for the sake of this article we’re turning things more over to the stars of the show. Here is what David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel each wrote in a post on Twitter.
David – “At the end of a great day with [Bones] the stories reflect to characters and are infused by the journey had by ALL involved. #12”
Emily – “We are so lucky to have had the talented writers, producers, directors, fellow actors, crew members we have had on [Bones] thank you all.”
There are still a number of season 11 episodes set to air later this spring. There is no confirmation as of yet as to when season 12 could premiere, but our preference would be to start them up in the winter next year and run them straight through until the end. The issue with a fall premiere is simply that with baseball and holidays, everything will be all divided up in a way that is not fun for anyone.
We’re still too early to have news on the show’s final season, but you better believe we’ll be bringing you some as we find out about it. Stay tuned! Also, sign up over here in the event you want some other TV news sent over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Fox.)
