‘The X Factor’ UK: Fleur East would love to see Louis Walsh back

There’s another season of “The X Factor” to be produced for the upcoming late summer / early fall, and yet again we are faced here with a familiar situation: Trying to figure out who the next judging panel is going to be. This is always something that this show struggles with, mostly because the turnover has been so high now for many years as the producers look for a way to try to combat low ratings.

At the moment, there seems to be a logjam of contenders to replace Nick Grimshaw, but two of the biggest stars involved just so happened to share the same name of Louis. In one corner, you’ve got One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, and in the other, you have former judge Louis Walsh. One brings big star power, and the other brings nostalgia.

While many people have been hoping for a Louis Tomlinson return, Fleur East made it clear to The Sun that she would love to see Walsh back:

“I love him. He is lovely. I did miss a bit of Louis on there, I’m not going to lie. I missed his energy. He’s just so full of life so it will be nice to see a bit of him again.”

When told that Tomlinson could also be in the running, East joked that you could just wrap up both Tomlinson and Walsh together and have them be one judge. We are assuming that Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini and Simon Cowell are both returning, and at the moment Rita Ora’s status is up in the air.
