‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 16 preview: Return date for Grant Gustin – Candice Patton series
Tonight, “The Flash” is telling a whale (or a shark?) of a tale in “King Shark” that brings one of the most notorious villains from all of the comic books into the limelight, and in a way that is so much more significant than a cameo. Exciting, no?
Well, you should know that following this episode, there’s going to be a little bit of a layoff and then some. The next installment of the series will more than likely not air until late March. We don’t have a confirmed date just yet, but we’re thinking that March 22 would be the right sort of time for the show to return with a final batch of episodes this season. From there, it could air new installments all the way until May. Update: It’s now confirmed that March 22 is the show’s return date. Hopefully, you’ve got some ways to occupy your time until then.
As for what to expect before we get around to that time, the biggest thing is a showdown with none other than Zoom. He’s the Big Bad for a reason, and you had to know he wasn’t going to be going away. Also, we now know that none other than Jay Garrick / Hunter Zolomon is behind the mask! Isn’t it fair to say that this is a little bit of a game-changer? We’re going to have a chance now to get to know him a little bit more, including why he became Zoom and how everything is set to now unfold.
As for the promo below, it teases the arrival of Trajectory, the first female speedster!
