ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 13 preview: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and ESL class!

CastleReady for something different on “Castle“? Next week’s new episode is entitled “And Justice for All,” and based on what we’re seeing and hearing right now, this will be an episode that is certainly different and then some from “The Blame Game” with all of its traps and puzzles.

As the synopsis below indicates, Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic are going to have their work cut out for them trying to figure out how to handle a murder case that happens within the world of … ESL class? Hey, in the world of “Castle,” anything is possible:

“Beckett and the 12th Precinct look into the murder of an English as a Second Langue student. But when the victim’s class won’t talk to the police, Castle goes undercover as a French Canadian immigrant and learns that the victim was more than he seemed.”

Let’s just get it out of the way: The idea of Rick going undercover in this way sounds hilarious. The whole episode in many ways seems to be vintage silly “Castle,” and that’s something we really look forward to seeing. Some of the best scenes on “Castle” over the years are the ones that feature our characters in unusual positions, and this could be another example of that. Is it possible that there could be some frustrations out there in regards to having lighthearted stories that aren’t touching on some of the larger mythology? We’d understand if there were, but we’re liking this direction. Also, we know answers are coming in time…
