‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Another pirate enters the mix!

Apparently, “Once Upon a Time” was not satisfied having both Captain Hook and Blackbeard as a part of its universe; we’re also now getting set to introduce someone else to the mix!

As first reported by ET Online, “NCIS” and “Saw” alum Costas Mandylor has been cast in the role of Captain Silver. Is it fair to presume that this is Long John Silver? Probably, but that is not 100% official. What we know for now is that this is a feared pirate who has some sort of history with Colin O’Donoghue’s character, and we will get a chance to see some sort of interaction between the two more than likely.

For the time being, Hook is certainly in one of the worst positions of his entire life, given that he has been trapped within the confines of the Underworld, and it is up to Emma Swan to figure out a way to save him. This is not something that we tend to see done on a regular basis, so with that in mind, we imagine that it is not going to be easy. This is a place stuffed full of notorious villains, and many of who are people that individually we’ve seen the characters struggle to take on. Can you imagine how they will be able to do so collectively? It’s going to take a lot of bravery, ingenuity, and help from some old friends.

“Once Upon a Time” returns to ABC with new episodes starting on Sunday, March 6. Stay tuned for more of the latest!
