‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: JoJo Fletcher, Lauren Bushnell’s hometown dates with Ben Higgins; brother trouble ahead?

As we get into next week’s new episode of “The Bachelor,” we’re visiting territory that we have seen so many times before on this show: Hometown dates. They are extremely familiar to just about everyone who has watched the show, and they also continue to follow a pattern. You’re going to see a few cranky fathers, somebody stir up some drama, but in the end dates that are somewhat straightforward.

Going into hometowns, Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher are the big favorites, and it seems like for now, Caila Quinn’s dad will be the cranky one when it comes to his (understandable) feelings that Ben is dating so many women and he doesn’t want to see her heart broken. Meanwhile, apparently JoJo’s brother takes it upon himself to become almost like Desiree’s brother from way back when, who was very quick to bash Sean Lowe.

Could someone like JoJo’s brother make it harder on Ben to want to be with her in the long-term? You have to at least think that this would be a concern of his, since he is eventually looking to be a part of the family in the long-term to go along with being with the woman.

Another concern that seems to be obvious? Whether or not Ben is ready to be a father to Amanda Stanton’s children. He made it clear beforehand that he was ready for this commitment, but at the same exact time we didn’t really see that on his face during the date, almost like he was not even remotely enjoying being around them. Maybe this was a bad edit, but he didn’t seem thrilled.
