‘Shameless’ season 6, episode 6 preview: Lip and Helene’s hearing has interesting twist

There is a new episode of “Shameless” airing on Showtime Sunday night, and in this we’re going to have the continuation of the strange saga of Lip and Helene. This has certainly been a polarizing plotline to say the least, and it’s went down some interesting roads.

It started as a casual relationship, and for a long time, it felt as though this was all this was going to eventually be. However, some of that did manage to change when we started to see that she did have some deeper feelings for him … but now that she has admitted that, she seems ready to sabotage here and cut bait completely. Also, she seems intent on doing what she can in order to save her job.

The sneak peek below features Sasha Alexander’s character front and center at a hearing at her school, where she tries has hard as possible to distance herself from some of what happened between the two of them. Not only that, but she vows to undergo counseling to help with what the board labels a “sex addiction” problem.

Does Lip seem to agree with this in any way? Not exactly. As a matter of fact, he protests everything that he is hearing and proclaims that the two of them are “in love” and there is nothing wrong with what they are doing. Technically, he’s right that there is no particular rule against this, but that does not necessarily mean that she is going to get much approval in her job over this. We personally feel like this episode could be it for the two characters … but we’ll have to wait and see if that ends up being the case.
