‘The Originals’ season 3, episode 13 preview: Nathaniel Buzolic returns; the quest to kill Aurora

Given what we’ve seen from her over the course of “The Originals” season 3 so far, there is one thing that we can say with a little bit of confidence: Klaus and Elijah want Aurora dead, and they’re going to do almost everything in their power to ensure that she is gone. The promo below teases that, but it also makes it clear that she may be able to get the upper hand on them … but to be honest, we have a heck of a hard time believing that someone like Klaus is getting killed off. Way too powerful of a character for that to happen.

As if seeing this showdown was not enough, the synopsis below also teases that we’re going to see the return of Nathaniel Buzolic as Kol in a big way:

“Determined to make her ultimate move against the Mikaelson brothers, Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds) uses Freya (Riley Voelkel) as bait to lure Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) into a dangerous trap. Meanwhile, after being recruited by The Strix’s powerful coven of witches to perform a spell that could save the lives of her closest friends, Davina (Danielle Campbell) finds a way to conjure up Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic), the only person who may know the key ingredient to completing the spell. Finally, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is forced to make a heartbreaking sacrifice.”

Yep, that’s right: The plot for Hayley is somehow going to get even more heartbreaking, as if it was not painful and devastating to deal with before.
