‘Doctor Who’ season 10: How many episodes does Steven Moffat have left?

Doctor Who -We’ve already known that “Doctor Who” showrunner Steven Moffat is departing the series at the end of season 10, but with that in mind, there was still one other mystery on our mind: How many Christmas Specials would he be around to write? We know that he would be there for the first special that is set to air later this year, but the jury has been out still on the 2017 special, which would follow the tenth season on the air. This could be a chance for a changing of the guard; or, it could be a chance for a fond farewell.

Based on what we know now, it appears that we are in fact going to see Moffat stick around until the 2017 special concludes. Speaking to the Scottish Daily Record (following receiving an OBE honor at Buckingham Palace), he made it clear precisely everything that he has coming up:

“Ahead of me this year I have 14 Doctor Who and 3 Sherlock films … So the last thing I’m doing is contemplating work beyond that. But the day’s coming when I’ll have to.”

We know that “Doctor Who” is going to resume production a little bit later this spring, and there is one order of business that needs to be taken care of before we get around to that time: Trying to figure out whether or not there is a perfect Companion out there! While there were many rumors regarding a Jenna Coleman replacement weeks ago, things have been fairly quiet as of late.
